Claudio Jampaglia

is a journalist, author and producer. He has worked for multiple Italian national publications starting as a reporter and becoming editor in chief for Liberazione and Diario. He collaborated with various national and local radio stations and in some News programs with Italian and International TV. He is also author of various books. Between 2010 and 2016 he worked at Prospekt Photographer Agency where he was head of special projects and development focused on web series and web documentaries for media, institutions and companies. His works are published mostly on Corriere della Sera and its art-installation “A/R”, together with Bruno Chiaravalloti, is permanently exposed in Mudec, Cultures Museum of Milan. In 2016, together with Benedetta Argentieri and Bruno Chiaravalloti, he directed “Our War” a feature documentary premiered out of competition at the 73rd Mostra del Cinema di Venezia and was distributed in cinemas and Tv’s. In 2017 his web-documentary “Sant’Elia, fragments of an ordinary space” has won the Capodarco Festival and is selected for the first prize at Festival de la Mediterranée of Marseille. He’s one of the promoter of geo-telling a visual approach in geography for narrating changes and challenges in urban spaces. Benedetta Argentieri

is an independent journalist and director based in New York and this is her second film. Since 2014 she has been covering the Iraqi and Syrian war, with several trips on the ground. Her work has appeared in several international publications, including Reuters, The Sunday Times, Quartz, and Corriere della Sera. In 2016 she co-directed with Bruno Chiaravalloti and Claudio Jampaglia, “Our War”, a documentary about foreigners joining the Kurds in Syria to fight the Islamic State. The film was selected at the 73rd Mostra del Cinema of Venice, in the out of competition section, and shown in several other festivals. In 2013 she co-produced “Capulcu-Voices from Gezi”, a documentary about the revolt that occurred in Gezi Park in Istanbul, Turkey, which won several awards including the Amnesty International award. In 2014 she also obtained an MA in Journalism, with a concentration in politics, from Columbia University in New York. Before moving to the United States, Benedetta worked as a staff writer at Corriere della Sera, the Italian leading newspaper. Bruno Chiaravalloti

is a visual anthropologist and filmmaker. From 1999 to 2007 he worked in several film festivals (namely, bATìk in Perugia and Filmmaker in Milan) and realized documentaries about NGOs projects around the world. In 2008 he won the production award of Filmmaker Festival in Milan with his documentary “Una questione Privata” (“A Private Matter”). In 2011 he won the FAI award at Milano Film Festival with “Rinnovata la chiamò” (“She named it Rinnovata”). In 2013 he worked with the artist Marinella Senatore, filming “Piccolo Caos”. From 2012 to 2015 he collaborated with Prospekt Agency, creating and editing web documentaries, promotional videos, and video installations for museums. The art-installation “A/R”, realized with Claudio Jampaglia, is permanently exposed at Mudec, Cultures Museum of Milan. In 2016, together with Benedetta Argentieri and Claudio Jampaglia, he directed the feature documentary “Our War” that premiered out of competition at the 73rd Mostra del Cinema di Venezia.
